Ability to print Zebra ZPL files
If you run a business involved with distribution of goods, this feature may come in handy for you. Now you can easily batch print industrial barcodes, QR-codes or labels. We added the ability to print in bulk any Zebra ZPL files created with ZPL programming code. It is simple, try using Labelary ZPL viewer. With this editor you can create new barcodes from scratch or by using templates and then instantly preview them. Add the ZPL files to the Print Conductor main window and print as many as needed.
Ability to print plain TXT files without Microsoft Word
In previous versions of Print Conductor it was necessary to have Microsoft Word, or Apache OpenOffice or LibreOffice software installed. Now you don’t need any other software other than Print Conductor. Our program prints any plain text files with its internal engine.
Ability to set page orientation for each printed document
In the new version you can set the type of page orientation - portrait or landscape or as set in your printer’s settings - for each printed document. You can now specify page orientation for each document in the List of Documents to make sure its pages fit the sheets of paper the best way.
Ability to remove files after printing
Another small, but smart feature. We added a new option to automatically delete files from your computer instantly after printing, if you no longer need them.
Processing of corrupted Outlook MSG e-mail files
If an e-mail message was not correctly saved as MSG file, some parts of its text may be missing or corrupt. The Print Conductor’s print engine will try to recover these missing or corrupted blocks of text and properly print your e-mails.
Processing PDF files with typical errors in the file structure
If a PDF file was processed with errors by outdated or malfunctioning software, this PDF may contain minor errors. These errors can make it look different from the original document after printing. The Print Conductor’s PDF engine will try to fix such typical errors (e.g. navigation links inside the document) and print your PDF as well as possible.
Fast-track processing of Microsoft Word files
We made an optional fast-track mode for processing DOC and DOCX files. Use it, if you are sure, that the files have been properly saved after editing. Thus, Print Conductor will not waste time on turning to the Microsoft Word’s autorecovery feature, which is used to open incorrectly saved files with corrupted file structure. Enable this mode by opening Ini File Editor (Ctrl+Alt+i). Then find the line "Word_Repairing" and set its value to zero: Word_Repairing=0.
Localization to the Polish language
Along with English, German, Spanish, French, Italian, Hungarian, Slovenian, Czech, Russian, Arabic, Japanese and Swedish languages supported, we translated the program interface into Polish as well. Bardzo dobrze!
Improved: fonts rendering algorithm for PDFs
We constantly focus on enhancing overall image quality of the printed documents. In the new version of Print Conductor we’ve improved the fonts rendering algorithm. Thus, we solved problems with processing certain fonts in PDF documents. Now they can be printed without any distortions.
Improved: "Choose paper source by document page size" option
We made this option more flexible. Previously the program would select the paper source (printer tray) according to page size of the document’s first page only. However, the new version of Print Conductor selects paper source and prints it where it fits best in line with the pagesize of each page.
Fixed: processing of Microsoft Excel files received from unreliable sources
As for XLS and XLSX charts, we fixed the issue in processing Microsoft Excel files, received from the Internet, by e-mail or other unreliable sources. Now they will be printed out without any problem.
Fixed: data communication issue between the program and the printer
During our tests we found that there was an issue in the data transfer between Print Conductor and a printer’s driver. These data contained settings from the previous printing session. We found errors causing lags or program’s crash in this data interchange and fixed them. It’s all good now!
Free version
Print-Conductor is free only for personal and non-commercial use. But you can test it in your office environment to see how it fits your business tasks. If you decide to continue using it in your company, you will need to buy a commercial licence for each user.
